Me and my fellow car enthusiast from Clubmazda3 Philippines decided to have our 1st year Anniversary and Summer Funrun on the 10th of May 2008. Places like Subic, Baguio, etc was suggested but at the last minute remembered how beautiful Peninsula Punta Fuego was.
Peninsula Punta Fuego is a residential resort in Nasugbu, Batangas. It used to be part of a hacienda, and was transformed to a resort in early 2000. Residents and their guests are welcome to enjoy the white sandy beaches as well as the facilities in the club. The waters are calm and abundant with ocean wild life. The roads, beaches as well as the vacant lots are well kept. A friend of mine owns a house there, so decided to rent her place for the weekend.
Most of the homes there are private getaways of the rich and famous in the Philippines, but some are available for rent.m
Last I remember was that I went snorkeling with some of my friends. The water was very clean and our guide was very helpful in pointing out some of the fishes and corals we saw. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go diving as none of us knew how. There were banana boats and jet skis but they were too expensive, and we only had a meager budget. The clubhouse was very small; there was only a small restaurant and bar, a medium sized pool and locker rooms. The food is quite expensive, so it’s best if you cook your own food. But I must warn those interested that the public market doesn’t sell as much sea food as I would expect from a town so close to the sea. If you are expecting amenities like a spa, coffee shops, mini theaters, and other such luxurious facilities, I don’t think this is place to visit. But if you’re looking for a peaceful weekend getaway to soak in the sun, I would definitely suggest you to visit Peninsula Punta Fuego.
